Ms. Miglarese has been actively engaged in the remote sensing and GIS sciences for 28 years. Anne has worked in state and federal government as well as in the private sector for engineering, management consulting, remote sensing, and GIS companies. Presently Anne is the President and CEO of PlanetIQ LLC, a Maryland-based atmospheric data sales company, which is planning to operate a constellation of 12 small satellites in low earth orbit. Previously Ms. Miglarese was a Principal Director with Booz Allen Hamilton managing geospatial service offering across defense, intelligence, and civilian accounts. Anne was the President and CEO of EarthData International, now known as Fugro EarthData, another Maryland-based company. Anne was instrumental in the establishment of NOAA’s Coastal Services Center and oversaw the development and implementation of the center’s GIS and remote sensing programs. Prior to working for NOAA, Ms. Miglarese was Director of Natural Resources Planning and Management with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, where she established the first large-scale mapping and decision support program to integrate natural resource planning and economic development at a watershed level for the Edisto River Basin Project. Anne started her career with NUS Corporation as an environmental engineer specializing in the Clean Water and Clean Air Act compliance activities.
Anne has been actively engaged in professional societies and organizations, including as board member of URISA, board member of MAPPS, chair of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee, founding member of NSGIC, Bathymetric Subcommittee chair of the FGDC, advisory board member of Imaging Notes, and chair of the South Carolina State Mapping Advisory Committee.
Anne currently serves on the Boards of Directors of PlanetIQ and TerraGo Technologies and as a member of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee.
Anne has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geography from the University of South Carolina.
